Mayor Mattie Parker is serving her third term as the leader of the nation’s 11th-largest city, bringing a next-generation, community-focused approach to Fort Worth’s continued growth. Since taking office in 2021, she has championed major initiatives that strengthen public safety, expand economic opportunity, improve education and workforce pathways, and preserve Fort Worth’s natural spaces.
Under her leadership, Fort Worth has made historic investments in police and fire staffing, launched the ambitious Good Natured greenspace initiative, and expanded efforts to attract high-quality jobs and innovative industries. Mayor Parker’s dedication to youth and families is reflected in her work to align schools, businesses, and healthcare partners so every child in Fort Worth has the opportunity to succeed.
One of the youngest mayors to lead a major American city, she brings nearly two decades of public service experience and a values-driven leadership style. Mayor Parker is a licensed attorney, a proud Texan, and the mother of three.
