Cultivating Community: West Meadowbrook’s Annual Garden Party & Plant Swap Returns

Community-driven initiatives are a powerful force in strengthening local connections, and the West Meadowbrook Neighborhood Association (WMNA) continues to lead by example. This spring, WMNA invites residents, families, and local professionals to take part in its Fourth Annual Garden Party and Plant Swap, a signature event designed to bring neighbors together while promoting sustainability, creativity, and community engagement.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, April 25
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Oakland Lake Park

As one of two cornerstone events hosted annually by WMNA—alongside the widely attended National Night Out in October—this gathering reflects the association’s ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant and connected neighborhood.

Designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, the West Pavilion will provide shade and shelter, ensuring the event continues rain or shine. More importantly, the Garden Party serves as a platform for meaningful interaction—whether networking with neighbors, engaging with local organizations, or simply enjoying time outdoors with family and pets.

Events like this are more than seasonal gatherings—they are opportunities to build relationships, exchange ideas, and invest in the long-term vitality of the community.

Join the movement toward a stronger, more connected community—one plant, one conversation, and one event at a time.
