Pete Geren brings decades of leadership experience across public service, education, philanthropy, business, and national defense. As President and CEO of the Sid W. Richardson Foundation, he helps guide a foundation dedicated to serving the people of Texas through grants supporting education, health, human services, and cultural nonprofit organizations. Since joining the Foundation in 2010, more than $300 million in grants have been provided, including over $150 million in education grants.

Geren’s distinguished career includes service as the 29th Secretary of the Army, Under Secretary of the Army, Acting Secretary of the Air Force, and four terms in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 12th District. He has also held leadership roles in civic, educational, business, and philanthropic organizations throughout Texas.

This will be an excellent opportunity for EFWBA members, business owners, community leaders, and guests to hear from one of Fort Worth’s most respected leaders on issues impacting education, leadership, public service, and the future of our community.
